Dr. Umer Shah grew up in Mississauga with his parents and four siblings. He then moved to London, ON where he completed his undergraduate studies from University of Western Ontario graduating with a degree in Honors Specialization in Health Science with Distinction. Upon completing his undergrad studies he spent the next 4 years in Michigan and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Detroit Mercy as a member of the Dean’s List. Dr. Shah traveled to Treasure Beach, Jamaica with a group of Dentists to educate, provide essential dental care and treat emergencies of the underserved population of the region.
As a clinician Dr. Shah enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a commitment to continued education. He is very passionate about providing all patients with comprehensive care to improve their oral and general health.
Dr. Shah is a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Board, Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeon of Ontario, and Ontario Dental Association. In his free time, he loves to go to the gym, is a sports enthusiast, is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
