Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Sedation dentistry with nitrous oxide (typically known as “laughing gas”) is a very safe way of making you feel calm and relaxed for your dental procedure. Nitrous oxide is not addictive, is easily inhaled, and leaves the body very quickly. You may actually leave the office more relaxed than when you arrive.
Oral Sedation
Sedation dentistry with the use of oral drugs from the Benzodiazepine family. These medications will be administered by your dentist one hour before your appointment. With this form of sedation you must arrange to have someone drive you home at the end of your appointment and to assist you once you are home.
Oral & Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Sedation dentistry with the combination of both Oral sedation and nitrous oxide sedation. Nitrous oxide can be used in combination if sedation with oral medication is insufficient at any stage of the appointment or in cases where complex procedures warrant a further depression of consciousness.
